Water security shouldn't be guesswork.

Between drought, restrictions and ageing infrastructure, more South Africans are storing their own water and harvesting rain. But it's hard to know where to start: how big a tank, how much rain a roof actually yields, and what's safe to drink.

The Water Vault makes trust visible: our feed aggregates the region's best-reviewed tank, borehole, rainwater and filtration companies — company, city, people's rating, website and pricing where available — from public customer reviews, so the suppliers the people actually trust are all in one place. We don't accept payment for placement.

Our free planning tool answers the first questions with honest, transparent maths — so you can plan a sensible system before you talk to a supplier.

We're upfront about how it works: The Water Vault is free. When you ask for quotes, we share your details with NanoLeap, who matches you with vetted suppliers and installers. You're never obligated to buy anything.

A note on accuracy

Our estimates use the standard rainwater formula and clearly-stated assumptions — they are a planning guide, not a guarantee of yield or water quality. Harvested rainwater must be properly filtered and treated before drinking. Check your municipal rules before drilling a borehole or reusing greywater, and have tanks and pumps installed correctly.
